Refurbishment of grade II* listed hall

The hall and the historic barns that surround it, is of national importance and a significant heritage asset. The approved proposals seek to secure these heritage assets in a form and manner that is sympathetic and respects their historic significance through the approval of a scheme which creates 9 dwellings within the existing historic fabric as well as 3 new dwellings as part of enabling development.

Through a detailed pre-planning application process, public consultation and consultation with Heritage England, a strategy which secures the heritage assets and enables them to be refurbished and maintained for future generations has been achieved.

The proposals have been developed in response to the constraints and as such materials and construction techniques were carefully considered within the design to reflect the historic nature of the site.

The proposals and listed building consent has been developed in line with statutory guidelines and present a clear and ultimately achievable strategy for the retention and conservation of the heritage assets.

As well as saving the severely dilapidated hall the proposals have approval to convert the existing Grade II listed barns and cottage into 8 new houses with an additional 3 new build detached houses which were approved as enabling development.
