Through an open design competition designs were developed to completely refurbish an existing dilapidated town house in Kensington into a contemporary flexible family home.

 

The introduction of a new private lift adjacent a new staircase enabled the new basement entertainment suite and staff accommodation to be linked to all floors and the roof terrace.

 

The ground floor was opened up enabling it to be used as an entertaining space with folding walls incorporated to create a more intimate family house when not being used for entertaining.

 

The existing flat roof is proposed to be incorporated as an external terrace with a bedroom/studio to the roof providing views across London.
