Refurbishment and extension of a Country Hall, Bedfordshire
The Edwardian country house is set within landscaped gardens in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The Hall has undergone many unsympathetic alterations over the years with it being utilised as offices until its recent purchase.
The proposals look to reinstate the hall as a private country residence with the reinstatement of ancillary accommodation in the form of two adjacent workers cottages and the introduction of new contemporary cellars and a separate pool pavilion with an outdoor pool. The planning approval successfully negotiated planning policies including development within the Green Belt and AONB.

The Hall is being refurbished in a traditional style retaining many existing features with the new pool pavilion designed in a contemporary style and set within a partly walled garden. Ancillary accommodation such as sauna, heat room and changing facilities are all contained within the new basement allowing the pavilion to sit simply within the landscaped gardens.
